We source from local organic or free range farms and suppliers where possible, our menu is approximately 70% plant based, and we have moved to digital ordering and training systems in 2017. By creating a predominately local supply chain and using digital systems, we achieve less carbon emissions due to less energy usage, resulting in a lower carbon footprint on the environment.
We are making the conscious effort to move away from single use plastics, from our paper bags to our ever popular smoothie cups and straws, we can proudly say that all packaging used in a Kauai store is 100% recyclable or biodegradable.
As our menu is predominately locally sourced fresh produce, we have less than 1% of food waste across all our stores, compared to the global average of 10%, this is due to the fact that we have carefully honed our craft in who our suppliers are as well as, how to use the correct methods to portions our delicious food for you.
We will continue to create more sustainable working environments and micro-supply chains to further lower our carbon footprint, continuing our quest to champion local produce and support local businesses along the way.
